In collaboration with ICEF we are happy to announce the 6th annual World Student Scholarship Education Programme (IWSSEP) February 16 - 17 2023, Dubai, UAE.
IWSSEP brings together two of the industry's leading facilitators, Gulf Conferences Ltd, the creators of the World Student Scholarship Education Programme and ICEF, the global leader in B2B events for the educational sector.
The ICEF World Student Scholarship Education Programme (IWSSEP) will bring together education providers recruiting international students with the heads and key decision makers of global scholarship programmes from across the Middle East, in the public, private and government sectors. With many countries and private organisations investing heavily in scholarships for overseas education, for example Saudi Arabia has pledged to fund over 70,000 overseas scholarships by 2030, this rapidly emerging market segment offers a significant boost to the education industry as it continues its recovery from the global pandemic.
IWSSEP presents a unique opportunity for educators and providers to meet potential partners over the course of two days, all focused on this distinct industry sector.
Taking place over two days, 16 – 17 February 2023, following the 16th edition of ICEF's annual agent networking event, ICEF Dubai (13-15 February). Both events will be at the same venue. Delegates have a rare opportunity to connect with different segments of the international education community, over one week, in the same location.
The Icef World Student Scholarship Education Program will be hosting 100 heads of scholarship and key decision makers from the public, private and government sectors. For example, this includes Ministries from various countries and departments responsible for sending state–funded students to study abroad. Representatives or agents from the oil and gas industry, airlines and travel companies, banks and financial institutions, hospitals and medical centres.
Delegates can pre-schedule up to 30 one-to-one meetings over the course of two-days. Participants can identify and meet specific heads of scholarship
that specialize in their company, organization or institutes subject of interest. Evaluate their
current position in the ever–shifting competitive market as well as gain insight directly from those responsible for developing and coordinating
scholarship programs.
The IWSSEP welcomes educational providers and suppliers, profit or non–profit at all levels. Corporations, professional associations, institutions
and government bodies as well as organizations such as study–travel agents and educational tour operators. Service providers including insurance
providers and marketing consultancy companies to student accommodation, technology companies, guardianship, travel, and entertainment organizations.
At the ICEF World Student Scholarship Education Programme, you can build your own personalised programme from up to 30 in-person, one-to-one meetings with potential partners.
You are also invited to attend our line-up of seminars, providing up-to-date information about the latest market trends and issues currently affecting international scholarship programmes.
The programme also includes meals, options for refreshment breaks, and evening functions, all of which offer further networking opportunities.

The World Student Scholarship Education Program (WSSEP) is a platform for education providers and suppliers, from different organizations, institutions, and companies to engage in one-to-one meetings with heads of scholarship and key decision makers from public, private and government sectors all over the world. The WSSEP was inspired by the King Abdullah Scholarship Program (KASP) in Saudi Arabia. It is an exclusive opportunity for delegates to create valuable contacts, generate new business, develop partnerships, and discuss future scholarship positions, during the two-day event.
The first WSSEP organized by Gulf Conferences Ltd took place on the 16th and 17th of November 2015 in London. It hosted participants from all over the world to discuss the importance of scholarships, particularly in GCC countries.
Held in Abu Dhabi, the second event was under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, head of the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Social Development. Over 250 delegates from 20 different countries attended almost 2000 pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings in two days.
